Week 7 challenge

What would be your fantasy holiday? My fantasy holiday would be going to Africa and going to the Safari. I would like to help the people over there.  I would love to see all the different wildlife. I’ve seen some photos of a person who’s been over there and she loved it. It would be a great experience.

What is your favourite holiday that you have already been on? Why is it a favourite?  My favourite holiday was probaly when I went to Echuca. It would have to be my favourite holiday because my brother and sister weren’t there! We went out for tea and went to a club. It was only Mum, Dad and Me!

We only went to Echuca because my brother and sister were at Elmore at the Jamboree so we went for a holiday. I’m going to Sydney at the start of the new year which is good!

If you had a choice of a country to holiday in, where would it be and why? I would go to Paris or New York. Texas wouyld also be a good place.

What makes a good teacher?

A good teacher is

This is a movie on what I think makes a good teacher. We made it using Windows Movie Maker and the music we made in Acid.

What do you think makes a good teacher? Please leave a comment.

Comments! Comments! Week 3

  • How are the comments made by Brad and Abby the same? How are they different? Which comment(s) would lead on to further conversation between Brad or Abby and the owner of the blog?
  • Both Brad and Abby really enjoy getting comments! They want their comments to be nice so they can approve them.  They are different because Abby doesn’t mind critisim unless it is in a mean way whereas Brad doesn’t not like getting corrected at all!

  • How can you write a great post so lots of people leave comments? Write a post you think will invite a lot of comments.
  •  A post which might give you a few more comments is one with a open-ended question! A post which expresses your point of view and asks for the readers. Another post which might attract visitors is one which has a game, a poll or a video because the first thing I recognise on a blog is whether it has something interactive I can do. It makes you want to read the rest of the post.

  • When someone leaves a comment, are you leaving an answer for them in your comment area, are you visiting their blog to leave a comment or are you sending an email to them if they left their email address?  Which of these three do you think carries the conversation on about the topic in your blog? Why?
  • On my blog I get a lot of comments from USA so I get a lot of questions about Australia. I try to answer some of the questions but sometimes I don’t. I normally go to their blog if they’ve left one or reply on my blog if they haven’t. I alos reply on my blog if I am a bit busy so it’s sometimes a good idea to reeturn to where you left the comment to see if I’ve answered your questions or even to just see if I’ve replied.

    Global handwashing day!

October 15th is global handwashing day!

  • Why would there be a global handwashing day? I reckon there would be a global handwashing day to improve personal higene. Washing your hands is a great way to keep clean. You should wash your hands before every meal.
  • What purpose would it have? The purpose of having the day would to improve everyone’s personal higene. And to make people’s hands clean.
  • Write about good handwashing practise – what is handwashing, why handwash, where…., when…  Handwashing is where you wash your hands with soap and water. You are supposed to wash them before every meal and when your hands are dirty. It is important to wash your hands because you can have stuff on it which could go onto yuor food when your eating and make you sick! No one wants to be sick just because they forgot to wash their hands!

Remember wash your hands before every meal! It may stop you from being sick!

    Holidays over already!

Don’t you just enjoy the holidays! But they go way too fast for my likings! As the saying goes ‘Time flies when you’re having fun!’ I always dread the first day back, even though you get to meet all friends! Seriously, who wants to work after they’ve been on holidays.

On my holidays my cousins which I normally don’t see often came down for a couple days to stay with us. The live in the city so they find the country very interesting. The wildlife and scenery is very different. That’s what I love about the country. It’s so peaceful that you can always hear birds.

After they left we went to Melbourne to catch up with the rest of our cousins. It was really great to see them! They have sooooo MUCH energy! They could run for hours and still they haven’t raised a sweat.

    Week 2 Challenge -Step 1

    1.  Write a post or even a page about commenting on your blog. What sort of comments will you accept? Do you have to leave a name with a URL?  Are your comments moderated? Explain what this means. Will you accept critical comments about your spelling and grammar etc?

It’s great to get comments! It’s really exciting! I accept most comments I get on my blog but I wouldn’t accept ones which are asking for personal information or wanting to meet me, bullying comments, ones which are talking in inappropriate language, shop sellers things and comments in code!

It’s good if they leave a name and URL especially if you ask questions because if you give a URL I can comment back and know they’ll get. Because if I only comment back on my blog you might not return so you don’t get my comment and answer. It is also good to know who you are talking to so it’s nice to have your name but make sure you don’t put your surname!

I accept critical comments about my spelling because if you tell me then I can fix it straight away but if you don’t tell me than I’ll never know so everyone will see that I’ve made a mistake instead of only a couple of people. Sometimes it’s also nice to get comments on my stories and that stuff telling me what I could do to make it better. I call it positive criticism!
