I hope everyone is enjoying there first day for 2010. I’m spending my first day packing my bags for Sydney.
We had a very interesting New Year’s Eve last night since the power was out. It went ougt after tea and didn’t come back on until around 11:00; at least we got to see the fireworks on T.V.

Tommorow I’ll be heading to Cataract Park which is an hour away from Sydney. I’m going for 13 days for the scout Jamboree. The Jamboree is officially 10 days but it’s 13 days for my group including the travelling. We are leaving  tommorow and will be arriving early the next morning.

I’m pretty excited! Each day you have a couple of activities including touring Sydney, going to Jamboroo and many other entertaining activities. 2 weeks away from my parents sounds good! Ha ha!

33. Nichola -What sport do you play?

G’day my name is Georgia. In Australia, in the winter time, the main two sports are netball and footy also known as the AFL. I play netball for our local team. In the summer time Australian’s mainly play tennis and cricket. My family all love tennis except me! We also play other sports such as basketball, soccer and swimming. At school we have an athletic day where we do running, high jump, javelin, shot put, discus and many other sports.  

What would be your fantasy holiday? My fantasy holiday would be going to Africa and going to the Safari. I would like to help the people over there.  I would love to see all the different wildlife. I’ve seen some photos of a person who’s been over there and she loved it. It would be a great experience.

What is your favourite holiday that you have already been on? Why is it a favourite?  My favourite holiday was probaly when I went to Echuca. It would have to be my favourite holiday because my brother and sister weren’t there! We went out for tea and went to a club. It was only Mum, Dad and Me!

We only went to Echuca because my brother and sister were at Elmore at the Jamboree so we went for a holiday. I’m going to Sydney at the start of the new year which is good!

If you had a choice of a country to holiday in, where would it be and why? I would go to Paris or New York. Texas wouyld also be a good place.

A good teacher is

Both Brad and Abby really enjoy getting comments! They want their comments to be nice so they can approve them.  They are different because Abby doesn’t mind critisim unless it is in a mean way whereas Brad doesn’t not like getting corrected at all!

 A post which might give you a few more comments is one with a open-ended question! A post which expresses your point of view and asks for the readers. Another post which might attract visitors is one which has a game, a poll or a video because the first thing I recognise on a blog is whether it has something interactive I can do. It makes you want to read the rest of the post.

On my blog I get a lot of comments from USA so I get a lot of questions about Australia. I try to answer some of the questions but sometimes I don’t. I normally go to their blog if they’ve left one or reply on my blog if they haven’t. I alos reply on my blog if I am a bit busy so it’s sometimes a good idea to reeturn to where you left the comment to see if I’ve answered your questions or even to just see if I’ve replied.

October 15th is global handwashing day!

Remember wash your hands before every meal! It may stop you from being sick!

Don’t you just enjoy the holidays! But they go way too fast for my likings! As the saying goes ‘Time flies when you’re having fun!’ I always dread the first day back, even though you get to meet all friends! Seriously, who wants to work after they’ve been on holidays.

On my holidays my cousins which I normally don’t see often came down for a couple days to stay with us. The live in the city so they find the country very interesting. The wildlife and scenery is very different. That’s what I love about the country. It’s so peaceful that you can always hear birds.

After they left we went to Melbourne to catch up with the rest of our cousins. It was really great to see them! They have sooooo MUCH energy! They could run for hours and still they haven’t raised a sweat.
